Dr. Lanalee Araba Sam is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, who has been practicing medicine for more than 17 years. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an honors degree in psychology, then attended the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. After receiving her M.D., Dr. Sam completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA., then relocated to South Florida in 2002. She founded Elite Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2004, a boutique-concept private practice committed to providing exceptional healthcare to discerning women who want uncompromised medical services.Clinically, Dr. Sam has distinguished herself as a top specialist in laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery. In addition to her busy professional schedule, Dr. Sam regularly volunteers her time serving on Boards and as Chairperson for numerous community organizations that have included the YMCA of Broward, the Jim and Jan Moran’s Boys & Girls Club, the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Cycle for Life, and Women In Distress’ Starfish Circle, in addition to creating her own Elite Women’s Foundation in 2009. Most recently she served as the team physician for the Freedom Challenge successfully summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in March 2015 and raising more than one million dollars to fight human trafficking.

Dr. Sam is happily divorced; adores her 11-year-old son, Shane; loves reading, playing soccer and tennis, and traveling the world; and is an avid triathlete having competed in over 25 triathlons, 10 5K races and two half marathons since her first season in 2010.

Brent received his Bachelor of Science in computer science from Central Michigan University in 1984 and his Master of Science in computer science in 1991. He was a staff programmer with IBM and one of the initial designers and developers of the IBM AS/400, the Malcolm Baldridge award-winning midrange computer offered by IBM. He then became the Vice President of Software Development for PDA Software Services, Inc. in 1992 and stayed with that company through its acquisition by Computer Science Corporation in 2007. Brent then took a position at Children’s Mercy Hospital in the Cardiac Surgery Research group, where he worked with physicians on the development of a replacement heart valve, creating software in support of the project and in the development of applications designed to improve the healthcare of children who have undergone heart transplant surgeries or had been born with a single ventricle in their heart. In April of 2011, Brent joined forces with his previous business partners to found LifeScience Technologies, where he is now the Vice President of Research and Development, focused on delivering intelligent device applications for managing patients after they leave the hospital.

Dr. LaGrelius has been a board-certified specialist in family medicine since 1977 and geriatric medicine since 1990. Julie Robinson began her healthcare career in 2000 as a pharmaceutical sales representative. In early 2008, Ms. Robinson relocated her family to Nashville, Tennessee and began working with an industry leader in concierge medicine as a patient advocate. On a personal note, he serves as a mentor and advisor for many faith-based NPOs with their fundraising and PR endeavors. He’s also a graduate of The Fund Raising School Program from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. He and his wife Kelly live in Atlanta, GA with their three children.

J. Patrick Tokarz, M.D., is Board certified in Family Medicine. After more than 30 years at Northern Virginia Family Practice, Dr. Tokarz retired from practicing medicine in December 2014. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, medical degree at the University of Tennessee, Center for Health Care Sciences in Memphis, and completed his Family Practice residency, followed by a teaching fellowship at Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Tokarz has received numerous awards during his career, including Best Doctor in America (2005-2010) and Top Doctor Recognition (1995, 1997, 2010, 2011, 2012). He serves as a clinical professor at George Washington Medical School and at Georgetown University Medical School.
